back to artists
Whitney Hamilton has lived and worked in New York City since 1987, after receiving her BFA from Birmingham Southern. During this time she attended Pratt Institue for one year as an MFA candidate in painting. Her interests are extensive and as she continued to paint she also began to learn the nuts and bolts of filmmaking---a passion she holds dear to her heart. In 1994 she began her own small production company, Bjornquist Films. Since it’s inception she has made six short films and a feature called My Brother's War. She has been working on a project called UNION for many years, a story about a woman who disguised herself as a Confederate soldier in order to survive the Civil War. Whitney has also been active in theatre/film and performing arts.
